Shaun Crawford’s passion for creating Varsity House was born from his own journey as an athlete in the spotlight who wanted to build something greater beyond the game. Throughout his football career, he faced several setbacks, including three season-ending injuries. Each comeback taught him lessons in perseverance and purpose, ultimately leading to honors such as All-ACC, Mayo Clinic Comeback Player of the Year honorable mention, and team captain, along with earning both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree from the University of Notre Dame.

After college, he achieved his dream of playing in the NFL with the Las Vegas Raiders, but it was what came after that truly defined him. Bootstrapping Varsity House immediately after his playing career gave Shaun invaluable on-the-ground experience that helped grow the company into what it is today, a creative studio working with global brands, Power 4 college programs, and world-class athletes. His journey shaped the vision behind Varsity House: to spotlight others with powerful stories, celebrate their accomplishments, and provide athletes and creators the authentic storytelling platform he wished existed when he was playing.
